How to rent your room
Five steps to fill a room. Written for people renting out one or two rooms, not property managers.

Post the room honestly
Real address, which never shows publicly. Only a general area does. At least three photos, the actual rent and deposit, and what's included. Listings that say everything up front get fewer messages that go nowhere.

Decide how much runs through Unido
Ask for ID verification, ask for income, do the lease here, or don't. It's all optional. Most landlords leave ID verification and the lease turned on, because those two save the most arguments later.

Screen on the arrangement, not the person
Decide on whether they can pay, their references, and the dates. Add your own questions about parking, schedules, or pets. Unido blocks questions that mention a protected class and tells you why.

Show the room
Post the times you're free and let people book. The exact address only gets shared once you confirm a visit, so your house stays private until you decide.

Put it in writing, then take photos
When you accept someone, Unido builds a lease from your listing. You both sign it here. Then walk the room together on day one and write down what shape it's in. That's what makes the deposit conversation at the end take five minutes.
