1. About Nido

Nido is a marketplace that helps independent landlords list rooms for rent and helps renters discover and apply for them in California's Central Valley. Browsing is free and requires no account. Listing a room or applying to one requires a free Nido account.

2. Eligibility & accounts

You must be 18 or older to create an account. You are responsible for the accuracy of the information you post and for keeping your login secure.

3. Listings & conduct

Landlords are responsible for the legality and accuracy of their listings, including compliance with California landlord-tenant and fair-housing law. Nido does not own, manage, or inspect any listed property. You agree not to post false, discriminatory, or fraudulent content. We may remove listings or accounts that violate these terms.

4. No agency, lease, or guarantee

Nido is a neutral venue. Any rental agreement is solely between landlord and tenant. Nido is not a party to any lease and does not guarantee any listing, tenant, landlord, payment, or outcome. Always tour a property in person and use a written agreement before paying any money.

5. Features in development

Some features shown in the product — including tenant screening, deposit protection, on-platform payments, lease e-signing, and credit reporting — are in development and not yet active. They are labeled accordingly and are not provided today.

6. Disclaimers & liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Nido is not liable for any indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the platform or interactions between users.
